This is a course for the general public designed to teach the skills necessary to save an adult in respiratory or cardiac distress. Learn rescue breathing, clearing an obstructed airway, and CPR for adult victims.

A certificate is issued upon successful completion of the course, valid for one year.

All  Basic Sailing Instructors are required to be re-certified yearly

Knowing how to perform CPR can make the difference between life and death for a loved one.  This is a skill that should be learned by all.

 

The Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a unit designed to assist people who are experiencing a heart attack.

The AED class addresses knowledge about heart attack and stroke prevention.  The program is designed to develop skills related to emergency assessment and intervention, including information about healthy heart living, signs and symptoms of a heart attack and stroke, adult foreign body airway obstruction management, adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation recovery position and use of barrier devices

AED units have becoming available in many public places, such as malls, airports, etc..  Knowing how to use one can make the difference between life and death for a loved one.  This is a skill that should be learned by all.
